Despite my username being NYCTOPARIS, I have a very special place in my heart for the city of London. In fact, I visited London years before I ever visited Paris, and spent summers in the English countryside as a teenager, so naturally, London feels a lot like home to me (just as much as Paris does). Over these years of frequent visits, I have thoroughly enjoyed trying different cafes and restaurants around the city, and here I will share with you my top 10 spots I always rely on:
For the best flat white: Monmouth
Monmouth is one of my very favorite cafes in London, and it’s not hard to see why, once you take a sip of their flat white. They also have a great selection of pastries (almond croissant being my favorite). Take your coffee to go, or for here where you will be seated facing strangers, whom you can have small talks with and befriend. I found the seating structure quite odd at first, still do, but I now think it’s charming, as it gives you the chance to talk to people in a genuine, and organic way.

For the best Indian food: Dishoom
There has never been a time where I have not visited Dishoom during my trip to London. My usual is their Chicken Ruby, Cheese naan, and house chai, but I assume everything on their menu is good. Even if you are not a big Indian cuisine lover (I am not either), do me a favor, do yourself a favor, go to Dishoom and thank me later.

For the best brunch: Granger & Co.
Hands down the best brunch in London, at least in my book. Hailing from Australia, Granger & Co. serves up some seriously scrumptious pancakes and fluffy scrambled eggs. This is not to be missed.

For the most “instagrammable”: Farm Girl
Everything at Farm Girl is the epitome of charming. From their pretty Rose Latte to the delicious avocado toast, Farm Girl is the cutest spot for your perfectly “instagrammable” shot.

For the ambiance: Aubaine @ Selfridges
A picture is worth a thousand words… Enough said.

For the best avocado toast: Lundenwic
This is a recent discovery, and a very good one at that. As a (self-proclaimed) avocado whisperer, I have tried a lot of (read: way too many) avocado toasts, all around the world, but this one has got to be on the very top of my list.

.
For the best afternoon tea: Sketch
If you went to London and didn’t have your afternoon tea, did you really go to London? Head to Sketch for a delightful afternoon tea experience, and you won’t regret a single penny (or pence, in this case) Be sure to make a reservation, and check out their quirky loo, as well.

.
For the best lunch in Soho: BAO
Chances are, you will see a long line for BAO, on any given lunch hour, but they are oh-so worth it. Can’t you tell from the guy with his peace sign?

.
For the best cinnamon buns: Fabrique Bakery
I’m not a big ‘cinnamon’ fan in general, but this is a different story. Located in Notting Hill, Fabrique Bakery bakes some heavenly cinnamon buns, almost as good as the ones I’ve had in Sweden. Pick up a bun (or two) and walk around Portobello Market to burn all the calories off.

For the best view: The Sky Garden
There are a few places I go to for the gorgeous view of the city of London; the Sky Garden being one of them. Going up can be a bit of a fuss, with the long waits and all, but once you’re up there, the speechless view will make you forget about it all. I recommend experiencing both the day-view and the night-view. Both equally amazing, but different vibes for sure.
